New Items in Stock
Fair Trade Connections now stock beautiful cushion covers with stunning Aboriginal designs.
They come from Better World Arts, a cross cultural project combining aboriginal design and artists from Kashmir. They are really bold and beautiful and have a hand painted and embroidered design.
Better World Arts recognises that culture is strengthened when traditional skills and life styles are valued and supported. They aim to create innovative products and business structures which support local communities culturally and economically, and engage the global marketplace. Better World Arts is promoting harmony, goodwill and economic links between communities across the globe.

Welcome to our Fair Trade Store. Our products are unique, handmade and high quality craft items sourced from Fair Trade organisations in Africa, Bangladesh, India, Thailand, and Vietnam.

We have a commitment to create a more socially and economically just global trading system.

Our small business is operating from Maleny, Queensland. As well as this online store we have a stall at our local community markets where we serve fair trade organic coffee at "Our little Fair Trade Cafe", each Sunday. We also sell our range of  Fair Tarde handmade gifts there. We attend Fair Trade Markets Days in Brisbane as often as we can.

Fair Trade doesn't just mean paying a fair price. It is an entirely different way of doing business, where the objective is not profit at any cost, but to help people in the world's most marginalised communities escape poverty and promote sustainability.

The products we sell come from low-income artisans in third world countries through organisations who belong to the  Fair Trade Association and sometimes directly from the producer themselves.

This provides consumers with the choice to make purchases that directly contribute to improving the lives of the poor and the environment.
 "Your choice's do matter".
